Profile Summary

 

We are looking for a VP to join our Regulatory Reporting IT team in London.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Carry out analysis, design, and delivery of IT solutions supporting Capital Pillar 1 prudential reporting requirements and other regulatory frameworks.
  • Partner with teams such as Finance, Risk, and Regulatory Reporting to gather, document, and validate business requirements.
  • Translate evolving regulatory requirements into clear business and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and QA teams to deliver robust solutions.
  • Estimate tasks and define RAID items to help create project plans.
  • Drive end-to-end project lifecycle for regulatory reporting initiatives, from requirements gathering through testing and implementation.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Present project updates to senior management and governance committees as and when required.
  • Oversee workload allocation and team delivery against project milestones.
  • Perform detailed data analysis across large, complex datasets to support capital adequacy and risk-weighted asset calculations.
  • Definite quality/acceptance criteria and test cases in agreement with business.
  • Oversee UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and support production deployment activities.
  • Assume some project management responsibility on smaller scale projects and act in a supporting role to the project manager on larger projects.

 

 

 

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • Proven experienced in translating business requirements into detailed functional specifications, as well having the ability to prototype functionality before development (e.g., report layouts, sandbox testing etc).
  • Knowledge of a wide range of trading book asset classes including interest rate derivatives, SFTs, bonds, credit derivatives and equities.
  • Proven experience within the field of UK/EU Pillar 1 Prudential Regulatory Reporting including COREP Own Funds, Leverage Ratio, Large Exposures, FRTB and Bank of England Statistical reporting.
  • Proven experience of working within an IT team, specifying changes for in-house/vendor regulatory reporting systems.
  • Proven experience in data analysis and mapping data between systems.
  • Proven experience in performing regression tests and explaining changes.
  • Proven experience of full involvement in project life cycles.
  • Proven experience of issue resolution through data mining and investigation.
  • Good understanding of software development lifecycle with ability to contribute to the design of software solution.
  • Experience of relational database design and ability to write SQL queries against Oracle & MS SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of Axiom vendor system desirable but not essential.
  • Appreciation of accounting concepts is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience of XML, JSON and MongoDB is desirable but not essential.
