Profile Summary

 

  • To develop and enhance business relationships with Japanese corporate customers etc.
  • To generate profit from the business, especially from M&A related business with Japanese corporate customers
  • To work closely with other JBE staffs in EMEA region, parent companies’ control offices in Japan or APAC region and various product partners at HO and EMEA region, and provide our customers with the best solutions
  • To enhance our presence as Europe of the Mizuho Group, as a regional RM of abovementioned sectors in Europe, work together with continental RMs

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Act as the primary contact point for any financial products. 
  • Provide the best solution professionally and timely to meet customers’ business requirements.
  • Explore and create business opportunities, structure transaction teams, organise and control important projects for the goals, generate maximized profit from transactions, and enhance business relationships with customers.
  • Understand the industries and feature of customer’s business including the position of the customer and its strength and weakness.  Monitor periodically customer’s financial conditions and evaluate if the rating is appropriate. Review the business plan with customers and act proactively to manage appropriate credit exposure with customers.
  • Understand what document controls exist by all banking process internally and externally. Precisely control legal and any business related documents with customers.  Complete the application process timely and accurately.  Report timely and efficiently any business information related customers.
  • Always act as “customer first”, understand customers’ needs, provide the best solutions and maximize the customer satisfaction.
  • To achieve qualitative/ quantitative business targets through the deep understanding of the customers and proactively offering proposals to the clients
    • Product sales and development
    • Establishing sales strategy
    • Creating pitches to the clients
    • Transaction banking promotion
    • Managing the progress of profit/ sales of the RM portfolio
  • To be responsible for the control of RM portfolio asset quality through the proper credit risk management
    • To be responsible for checking/ controlling/ approving
    • Credit application
    • Waiver application
    • Due dates management etc
    • To possess the knowledge and ability for the department to effectively and efficiently perform the operations of the department.
  • Aggregate, source, and originate M&A transaction opportunities, including client coverage and engagement.
  • Communicate and coordinate with non-Japanese bankers and M&A boutique advisory firms for M&A deals.
  • Share M&A knowledge, expertise, and best practices with other Relationship Managers within the department.
  • Communicate and Liaise with the relevant departments in Janan.
  • Provide timely and appropriate reporting to JBE Management.
  • Read, understand and comply with London Compliance Manual. Be up to date with Anti Money Laundering training and any other regulatory trainings
  • Have signed the required compliance undertakes
  • Report promptly any identified compliance or money laundering risks or actual breaches to the Compliance Department and/or the Head of LDN Coverage Team

 

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

 

  • Fluency in English and Japanese as native level
  • Comprehensive knowledge of M&A processes and transactions
  • Very good Sales, Marketing experiences in financial industry.
  • Very good knowledge of Corporate Finance, Project Finance, Trade Finance and Treasury.
  • Very good analysis skills B/S, PL, Cash Flow, Credit Rating, Credit applications.
  • Very good knowledge of MiFID II and Financial Crime
  • Good knowledge of DCM, Acquisition finance and Trust.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Market Analysis ability
  • Deep knowledge of the sector in charge
