Profile Summary
As part of the transaction banking business, the Cash & Japanese Corporate Sales Team is responsible for the cash management business in the EMEA branches of Mizuho Bank. The team consists of three sections functionally : Sales which promotes cash and liquidity management products to Japanese and non-Japanese clients in Europe, Support which is responsible for the client onboarding and support of channel products (mainly e-Banking), and Product which is responsible for development and maintenance of the channel products.
Duties and Responsibilities
GTBDE provides clients with a variety of cash and liquidity management, and trade finance related products and services. GTBDE has composed two types of this business, one is Trade finance and the other Cash Management System (CMS) solution. In CMS business area, Cash Team provides clients with a variety of cash and liquidity management products/services. Under this team, we have functions of (1) products sales promotion (2) clients support (mainly for e-Banking, client onboarding/implementation and daily support after implementation, and (3) products development and maintenance.
The candidate is expected to carry out e-Banking promotion, onboarding, and daily support (BAU support), mainly for Japanese corporate clients but also non-Japanese clients at Mizuho London office. In addition, it is also expected to collaborate/correlate with the GTBD members who have same/similar assignment in Tokyo and EMEA office.
In addition, GTBDE has been leading local payment regulatory project including new payment system launch, UAT, client acknowledgment etc.
In order to execute the above tasks, the candidate is required to be involved in transaction sales activities promoted by Relationship Managers at front desk and/or GTBDE cash sales members, and in projects for local payment regulation and cash product development led by cash development members as well.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Essential
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in the Banking Industry, especially for cash management product such as (1) e-banking implementation, integration and maintenance, (2) Payment Administration, (3) Cash Pooling Implementation, integration and maintenance, (4) Host to Host/SWIFT connectivity implementation, integration and maintenance and (5) API knowledge related with PSD2/Open banking.
- Pitching / presentation to the clients in terms of e-banking and CMS products
- Experience/knowledge in transaction, payment, FX business/operation
- Basic knowledge of SWIFT and bank messaging (MT1xx, MT2xx, MT9xx, also ISO20022 messages such as pain.001, camt.053/052, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of UK and European Payment market environment (BACS/CHAPS, SEPA/Target2, SWIFT etc.)
- Fluent English speaker – required
- End User PC Skills (Microsoft Office, business specific…)
- Solid understanding of the Bank’s internal rules and procedures
- Ability to learn continuously and to be flexible in a challenging environment
- Ability to work effectively under strict deadlines such as payment cut-off times
- Able to work within a team and maintain working relationships
- Commitment to complete tasks, meet deadlines, achieve expected results.
- Excellent attention to details and high levels of accuracy
- Positive attitude and strong desire to support clients and team members
Desirable
- Japanese language – in consideration of handling Japanese Corporate business
- Basic Knowledge of UK and European regulations (PSD2, Basel, Libor discontinuation, ISO20022, CBPR+, etc.)
- Basic Knowledge of Customer ERP/TMS (SAP, Kyriba, Oracle etc.)
- Basic IT knowledge such as Network (sFTP etc), File Format (XML, CSV, Text, JSON etc.), Database, Infrastructures
- Basic knowledge of IT systems (web applications, security etc)
