Profile Summary
We are looking for an Analyst to join our Data Management Team in London.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Own specific data related problem solving tasks and independently and collaboratively identify solutions to them. These can range from technical to business related data requirements/issues

- Work across data domains and business users to identify and address data interdependencies and propose resolution for data integrity conflicts that arise.
- Work collaboratively across different disciplines, entities and regions to problem solve issues that arise
- Through combination of formal training and on-job learing apply data management concepts to help develop Mizuho’s EMEA Data Management Office (DMO) This includes:

- Metadata management
- Data quality management
- Data standardisation
- Records retention
- Support the EMEA DMO team in:

- Raising and investigating data issues to the Data Domain working groups
- Support and adoption of data policies, standards, DMO Services and processes within their relevant area of responsibility
- Assurance that standards and data management processes are fit for business purpose and acceptable use (through feedback and escalations to senior management)
- Prepare material for data working groups

- Attend data working groups and manage assigned items
- Train in, and then utilise the data management tooling adopted by EMEA Data Management office, as required.
- Innovate in the use of technology (including AI) to support the aims of the EMEA DMO
This role will initially require a generalist, so any or all of the above could be expected. As the team grows the candidate will have the opportunity to specialise as SME, or develop leadership skills as applicable.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Great organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong numerical and analytical skills must be demonstrated
- Demonstrable ability to innovate, support change and problem solve
- Collaborative nature to contribute to a successful team performance. The ability to work in multidisciplined groups, calmly, effectively and with tact will be important.
- Strong level of computer literacy and skills to support data analysis / presentation will be expected, or at least to demonstrate competencies in the above
- Although understanding of data management and Governance concepts are beneficial, they are not essential as training and coaching will be provided
- Although an understanding of AI is beneficial, this is not essential
- Language skills (Dutch, Japanese, Cantonese) are an asset, but not essential
