Profile Summary

 

To complete the Onboarding function within the Mizuho CLM Team in a timely and cost-efficient manner ensuring adherence to all SLA’s and procedures for Mizuho EMEA. To manage the control of AML/KYC documentation in line with Internal Compliance Procedures/FCA regulations.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Monitor the new business pipeline for Mizuho EMEA to ensure clients are on-boarded and trading accounts created in a timely fashion
  • Undertake all tasks within the Client Onboarding cases within Fenergo.
  • Facilitate QC checks for client maintenance workflows
  • Complete the addition of counterparty registration applications and initial customer registration from workflow into customer management databases in adherence to all Mizuho Compliance procedures
  • Support oversight and communication of weekly priority queues across business resource alignment
  • Liaison with Internal Stakeholders advising Business Units of various due diligence requirements depending on the types of products/entities being onboarded.
  • Maintain high quality reference data across MHI, London Branch and European Office systems in conjunction with AML/KYC Client documentation verification
  • Build relationships and business understanding with Internal Clients to initiate and implement improvements to existing processes
  • Review new account and legal entity maintenance requests submitted by Front Office for accuracy and completeness and communicate KYC requirements to Account Officers and / or clients directly
  • Where applicable, liaise with Credit and Compliance to ensure relevant approvals have been granted prior to account opening
  • Ownership and pro-active management of the Client Onboarding inbox, ensuring all internal and clients communications are responded to and/or actioned in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure that all handoffs to other departments are understood and managed effectively, including improving process / relationships with Front Office, Compliance and Credit

 

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience within Financial Services
  • Solid understanding of AML/KYC principles, regulatory expectations, and client due‑diligence processes
  • Great organisational and time management skills, with a track record of managing high‑volume workflows
  • Client‑centric approach with the ability to balance regulatory requirements and business needs
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret documentation, identify gaps, and resolve data‑quality issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with Front Office, Compliance, Credit, and other internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrable ability to innovate, support change and problem solve
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team‑based environment
  • High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in data entry, data validation, and working with workflow tools (experience with Fenergo is advantageous)
  • Experience using World Check One is desirable.
