Associate - Software Asset Management

We are looking for an Associate to join our Software Asset Management team in London.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Enforce Software Governance protocols and enable the business to follow SAM best practices.
  • Review and Interpret EULAs and Software Contracts, working closely with Legal and Procurement.
  • Manage and maintain software licence entitlements & contract compliancy.
  • Produce ELPs for various Generic Software Vendors, Tier 1 - Oracle or IBM would be advantageous.
  • Work on projects & BAU requirements.
  • Management of hardware inventory.
  • Working across multiple vendors based in multiple regions within a global organisation and manage the challenges of working with various time zones, language and cultural differences.
  • Attention to detail and an ability to produce and maintain complex software Licence usage to reduce risk, both financial and reputational.
  • Input into CMDB development.
  • Creation of POs and renewal tracking documentation.
  • Create Work Instruction documents.
  • Conduct due diligence on software, both requested by the business and pre-existing on the network, including supporting the IT Asset Manager with preparing for and running the Software Advisory Board.
  • Proactive approach to the ITAM disciplines.
  • Review and resolve incoming requests via our ITSM Tools.
  • Attend meetings and speak knowledgeable with regards to Software Asset Management Processes, due diligence and licensing.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels within the business, understanding requirements and following through all associated tasks to completion.
  • Ability to interpret licensing requirements/exclusions and to represent these in the SAM Tool appropriately.
  • Possible out of hours work will be required for some weekends and evenings for software upgrades.

 

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

 

  • 3+ Years’ working as a Software Asset Manager.
  • Financial sector or equivalent experience in large global professional services organisations.
  • Experience of working in a diverse and dynamic team environment.
  • Experience and knowledge of Software Asset Management Processes, due diligence and licensing.
  • Experience attending and chairing meetings as a Software Asset Management SME.
  • Experience of understanding and working with Contracts and End User License Agreements and the ability to represent entitlements in the SAM Tool.
  • Practical understanding of ITAM processes [HAM and SAM].
  • Understanding of Infrastructure, Networks, Security and how these functions are key to IT Asset Management.
  • Ability to multitask under pressure.
  • Attention to detail.
