Profile Summary
The Liquidity Risk Manager (Associate Vice President) is responsible for overseeing the identification, measurement, monitoring, and control of liquidity risk across CIB activities, ensuring compliance with internal risk appetite and external regulatory frameworks (e.g., LCR, NSFR, and ILAAP requirements). The role entails the maintenance and enhancement of robust liquidity risk monitoring and risk methodologies, stress testing framework while providing independent oversight and challenge to front-office activities and funding strategies. The incumbent collaborates closely with front offices, Treasury, Finance, and other risk domains to deliver timely and accurate risk assessments, support ALCO decision-making, and ensure effective governance and escalation processes. A strong emphasis is placed on liquidity risk data analysis, modelling, and regulatory alignment assurance, alongside the ability to translate complex risk insights into clear, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders and supervisory authorities.
Duties and Responsibilities
A risk professional responsible for working with the Liquidity Risk Lead on the design and delivery of robust liquidity risk framework of the CIB, ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory requirements and alignment with global standards. Working as the 2LoD, responsible for the integrity of the liquidity risk framework across policy, stress testing, ILAAP, regulatory compliance, and governance. The role provides independent challenge and advisory to Treasury, and front office across MBE under DNB supervisory expectations, operating with Associate Vice President-equivalent functional scope.
Operational Responsibilities
- Continuously enhancing liquidity risk management practices and methodologies.
- Reviewing the liquidity risk reports, providing independent assessment.
- Supporting the ILAAP/CFP/RCP processes.
- Liquidity risk modelling and analysis.
- Liquidity risk assessment of new products and services.
- Advisory and sparring partner to the Treasury Department and front offices to ensure a sound liquidity risk management practice within the Bank.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- CFA, FRM preferred.
Experience
- Outstanding record in financial institutions within Risk function, experience in liquidity risk management, regulatory/enterprise risk role; exposure to latest risk management practices, risk measurement techniques, and models.
- Experience with risk data modelling, ILAAP, strong knowledge of relevant regulatory rules
- Good understanding of CIB business and financial products
- Record of delivering changes to process and procedures, priority assessment for the most efficient execution.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced and risk-sensitive environment.
Technical knowledge/skills
- Liquidity risk expertise, cross-risk proficiency is preferred.
- Data analytics and programming skills
